Your data at a glance

  • On this device: unfinished setup, your reason, dates, check-ins, goals, estimates, money you record moving, and trusted-person names.
  • Apple and RevenueCat: purchase and entitlement information needed to provide Premium.
  • Optional analytics: limited pseudonymous usage events only after you opt in. No private notes or money amounts.
  • Messages you choose: shared through your messaging app, with your selected recipient. No automatic Circle alerts.
  • Early-access email: if you send the prepared email, we use your address for the requested update. Reply to withdraw. Sending support email shares its contents with our support provider.

Who we are

Banked is developed and operated by Wolf March Inc. (“Wolf March,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy covers Banked and the Wolf March website. It explains what is stored, what may be shared, and how to contact us about your information.

The short version

Banked is designed so your recovery record stays on your device. We do not run advertising trackers, sell personal information, connect to your bank, or upload your journal, urge notes, goals, or reason for stopping to a Wolf March or Banked server.

Information stored on your device

Banked stores onboarding answers and unfinished setup drafts, streak and check-in history, estimated-savings settings, self-reported expenses and money moved, goals, pledge history, urge notes, trusted-circle names, and sharing preferences in the app’s protected local container. Apple Screen Time selections are opaque tokens stored in the private App Group used by Banked’s shield. Website hostnames you add to the block list are also stored there so the shield can enforce them. Banked does not receive the names of selected apps or record whether or when you visit a blocked site.

Information excluded from automatic collection

Banked does not collect bank credentials, account balances, gambling transactions, browsing history, precise location, contacts, advertising identifiers, or the names of apps selected through Apple’s Family Controls picker. A hostname in your block list is used only to apply the protection.

Optional product analytics

Optional usage analytics are off by default. When enabled under You → Your data, Banked may send Wolf March’s Banked service and PostHog a random installation identifier, app version, fixed event names, and limited fields such as a day number, check-in outcome, chosen tool, or subscription plan. These records are pseudonymous: the identifier does not contain your name, but it can connect events from the same installation. Banked does not enable PostHog person profiles, autocapture, session replay, screen recording, or advertising features. These events never include your name, reason, notes, bank labels, money amounts, urge text, selected apps, or block-list hostnames. Public feature and experiment definitions can be downloaded without an identifier and are assigned on-device. Turning analytics off in You → Your data stops future analytics and requests deletion of the pseudonymous Banked service record when reachable.

Website visits and support email

This website does not ask you to create an account and does not use advertising cookies, marketing pixels, or visitor analytics added by Wolf March. Our hosting providers, OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare, process technical request information such as IP address, browser information, requested URL, and time to deliver and protect the website.

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use Google Workspace to manage correspondence and use the information to respond, investigate issues, and handle privacy requests. Avoid sending sensitive recovery details or passwords.

Service providers and sharing

We use service providers to operate the website, handle support, and deliver the app functions described here. They process only information needed for those services. Where we share app data with a provider, we require protection consistent with this policy and Apple’s requirements. Apple processes App Store transactions and device services under its own policies.

We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or our services, or as part of a business transfer subject to continued privacy protections. Providers may process information in countries other than your own.

Subscriptions and RevenueCat

Apple processes subscription payments. Banked uses RevenueCat to validate purchases, restore access, and understand subscription performance. RevenueCat receives purchase and subscription records, product identifiers, a randomly generated app user identifier, and technical information needed to operate its service, such as app version, locale, and currency. Banked does not send RevenueCat your name, email address, journal, recovery answers, or other recovery record, and neither Banked nor RevenueCat receives your payment-card details. This subscription processing is separate from optional usage analytics.

Apple services

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Banked receives entitlement status, not your payment-card details. Family Controls authorization and app selection are provided by Apple. Reminders are scheduled locally through iOS. Apple may process information under its own privacy policy when you use those services.

Remote notifications

If you authorize notifications, iOS may give Banked a device push token. Banked sends that token, your notification-permission status, and a random installation identifier to the Banked service so a discreet remote notification can be delivered. The token is encrypted at rest, is not used for advertising, and is deleted when registration is removed or you erase Banked data. Remote notification copy is designed not to reveal a recovery status, debt, streak, or money amount on your lock screen.

Stories and peer-note submissions

Story and peer-note drafts remain in the app until you deliberately open and send an email. A peer-note email can include the first name, broad recovery stage, current Banked day, note, and permission shown in the form. Wolf March reviews submissions for safety, privacy, consent, and fit; nothing publishes automatically. If approved, a note may appear as one-way curated content with the permitted first name and broad milestone. Readers cannot reply or contact the author, and can report a note or hide that author on their device. Email support@wolfmarch.com to withdraw a submitted or approved note.

Storage, backup, and security

The Banked recovery record uses iOS Data Protection and may be included in an encrypted device backup controlled by you and Apple. Banked does not upload this record to a Wolf March or Banked server. No storage method can guarantee absolute security.

Data retention and deletion

Banked keeps your recovery record on your device until you delete it. Choose You → Erase my data to delete the local recovery document, Circle, Screen Time selection, active shields, Banked reminders, local analytics identifiers, and remote-notification registration, then return to onboarding. Banked also requests deletion of its pseudonymous service record when the service is reachable. No recovery record is stored in that service. Apple and RevenueCat retain subscription records to manage purchases and meet applicable obligations. Erasing local recovery data does not delete those records or cancel billing. Contact support@wolfmarch.com for a subscription-data privacy request.

Support records and privacy requests

We retain support correspondence for as long as needed to resolve and follow up on your request, or to meet legal obligations. Optional service data is used only for the purposes described above and can be the subject of an access or deletion request. Approved stories or peer notes may remain available until withdrawn or removed.

Email support@wolfmarch.com to request access, correction, or deletion, or to withdraw permission for a submitted story. We may need limited information to verify a request. We cannot retrieve a recovery record that exists only on your device. Your location may give you additional privacy rights; we will handle requests under applicable law.

Children

Banked is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it where appropriate.

Your choices

You decide whether to authorize notifications, Family Controls, and any optional sharing features. You can change system permissions in iOS Settings and delete your Banked data from within the app. If a future version changes collection, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure before that change begins.

Contact and changes

Privacy questions or deletion questions can be sent to support@wolfmarch.com.

If this policy changes materially, Wolf March will update the effective date and provide notice in the app where appropriate.
